There are many fabricators across the country who build out dump trucks or offer cab and chassis trucks as a base platform to build off of. Measurements from the back of the cab to the end of frame, wheelbase, back of the cab to the middle of axles and many other specifications come in to play. How long of a dump bed are you wanting to put on the truck? How much weight do you need to carry? For heavy duty dump trucks, you would ideally want a 20K front axle, 46K+ rear axles, double framed, 450HP+, Tri-axles or more and many other variations depending on the application the truck will be used for.

Dump beds can come in half round or box shape or whatever shape you dream up and give to the fabricator making the dump bed pretty much.
